Anyway back to some good news

Happy to say that I am back at work and I am working on writing a paper happy to collaborate with colleagues in India and abroad within and outside my network.

India is good when it needs to be.

So I've been living in India for 10 years now. And I have to say the situation is getting worse day by day. Credit is limited. ATM's don't dispense cash. Staff in the Service Industry are generally rude. Places are getting more and more crowded.  One thing is that my Tulu has improved since hardly anyone speaks English here. And of course my Doomsday Prepper/ End of Days/ Village Living/ Farm to Table experience is now a reality.

A few thoughts on women and spite: don't be Salome from John the Baptist's story.

Which brings me to David. Be like a King David. An Ideal Boy and Man.

Goodbye Never Ending Buffett

Wow, was soo looking forward to the Holiday Season, with Peppermint Latte's and Plum Cake and never ending buffett and Starbucks Holiday Mugs. And what do I get? Crowded Starbucks, no holiday mug ( Even Though I am a Reserve Member). Armed Policemen outside Country Inn Manipal with all the Holiday Buffets, seriously who is the Governor of Minnesota? India is seriously turning into an insane place!

Day Before the Mid Terms

Well here we are again; the day before the midterms. I am not able to vote, but those who can vote wisely. These are the people in charge who will create long lasting legislations. Also in two years we will have the  next Presidential Elections. Not exactly sure who will be running, but we must examine there track record before we can endorse any specific candidate. Praying for a safe election tomorrow.

IEEE HKN Membership

I'm happy to say I'm  a Member of IEEE Eta Kappa Nu, IEEE's honour society. I'm proud to be a member and I'm about to order my membership certificate online! My IEEE membership is already paying off! I hope to join Academy of Management (AOM) next. I've submitted my book to a couple of journals for publication. Fingers crossed! I already have a published author badge on Collabratec, because of my book on Amazon KDP. Below is my IEEE HKN Certificate by Delta Nu Chapter of The University of Alabama! Displaying it in my office as well!

I'm currently researching a journal article.

 It's accreditation season at the University. We have NBA visiting us today.

Modeling

Below are some modelling projects I worked on while in the US. I got paid a small amount at the time but since I'm not in the US I don't get paid these days. India these days ( NSS National Service Scheme)

This is the situation in India these days. Construction everywhere; open doors in school and college buses. Endless road construction. Hoping the situation changes with the forthcoming elections. It's getting difficult to travel and live here these days. With the Cockroach Janata Party and Student Protests across the country, the government needs to seriously reevaluate its priorities. 

I just saw a bunch of students walking around college with rusty rods. Had to ask them about it and they said that were NSS ( National Service Scheme) volunteers and were moving to a new location. I don't remember the NSS chapter in my Engineering college being like this. Hopefully NSS stops saving rusted rods in its location. 

Elections this week in Brazil and Israel are pretty close, if not overwhelmingly, against the current leadership. I wonder what next week's US midterms will tell us. And how it will affect our situation in India.

Patents Referencing to IEEE Papers and Conferences 2006-2025

I read a really interesting article in my IEEE feed today. It's a list of all the patents filed that have referenced IEEE in their patent filings. It's nice to see how much patent growth has happened in China and India and also Saudi Arabia. China is currently ahead of the US in Patent filings. Also interesting to go to the WIPO site to see the data.:

IEEE papers on Sustainable Climate

I have just rejoined IEEE after a brief hiatus and I am happy to see that I have access IEEE Explore, thanks to my University. Hope to write a paper on Sustainable Climate as I live in the rainforests of India.

Microsoft Layoffs

I just read on X that Microsoft is offering voluntary buyouts to 60,000 employees. I have been a victim of layoffs myself over the years. It just seems that the scale of layoffs is getting worse over the years; initially, it was restricted to just a few hundred or thousands. I'm not sure whom to blame: the CEOs, the Economy, Wall Street, HR at the companies, Security at companies, shareholders, people in general. 

These buyouts seem to be based outside the US. Good luck to everyone!
